One lens. Three distances. Four designs.

Every Optolite progressive gives you distance vision in the upper area, a corridor for arm’s-length tasks, and a reading area below. The designs differ in how open those viewing areas feel — so you can choose for the way you actually live.

03 · Material & index

Thinner where it matters.

A higher-index material bends light more strongly, so it can give the same power with less thickness. Six indexes, from classic CR-39 to ultra-thin 1.74. Tap one to see the difference.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What types of spectacle lenses does Optolite make?

Optolite offers single vision lenses (ready-stock and made-to-prescription RX), bifocal lenses in Kryptok and D Bifocal styles, and progressive lenses in four designs: Eco, Pastel, Vibrant and the flagship Extreme. Lenses come in indexes from 1.50 to 1.74 with Hard Coat, Clear AR, Blue Shield or Premium SHMC finishes, and many options are available in photochromic.

What does “Made in India, Designed in Germany” mean?

Optolite lenses are manufactured in India, with lens design work rooted in German optical design. It combines considered design with local manufacturing and support.

Which lens is right for me — single vision, bifocal or progressive?

If you need one power for either distance or reading, single vision is right. If you need both distance and near correction, a bifocal gives two zones with a visible segment, while a progressive gives distance, intermediate and near in one lens with no visible line. Your eye-care professional will recommend the best option after an eye test.

Is a higher-index lens always better?

Not always. A higher index can make lenses thinner for the same power, which matters most for stronger prescriptions and certain frames. For low powers the difference is small. Your prescription, frame size and fitting decide the final result.
